Cogita EDA began as a technology initiative inside Vtool, a design and verification services company founded in 2014. From the beginning, the Cogita platform was developed alongside real-world ASIC and SoC verification projects, shaped by years of hands-on engineering experience and direct exposure to the challenges verification teams face every day.

One lesson became clear: verification does not fail because teams lack data — it fails because they lack fast, actionable insight. Simulation outputs, emulation traces, HW/SW logs, regressions, and debug information generate enormous volumes of data, but finding the real cause of a failure is still too slow and manual.

In 2026, Cogita EDA was established as an independent company, separating the product from Vtool’s services business and allowing the team to focus entirely on building advanced verification analytics software.

At the center of our work is Cogita-PRO, an AI-powered analytics and debug platform that ingests massive volumes of verification data and transforms them into a unified, searchable database. Using advanced visualization and AI/ML algorithms, Cogita-PRO helps engineers uncover anomalies, correlations, and patterns — guiding teams quickly from “something is wrong” to “here is exactly why.”

Today, Cogita EDA operates from its office in Belgrade, with sales representation in the United States. We carry forward the engineering DNA of our origins: deep experience in complex chip projects, close understanding of verification workflows, and a belief that the next generation of EDA tools must be intelligent, data-driven, and built for the way engineers actually work.
